Position Overview:

The Restroom Attendant position supports the Facilities and Operations team at MSG venues, including Madison Square Garden. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of public restrooms during live events. The position reports to the Housekeeping or Facilities Supervisor and works closely with other custodial and operations staff to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests. The primary goal of this role is to deliver a high standard of cleanliness and guest service that contributes to an exceptional event experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all assigned restroom areas throughout events
  • Restock paper products, soap, hand sanitizer, and other restroom supplies
  • Monitor restroom conditions continuously and clean as needed during shifts
  • Provide courteous assistance and directions to guests when approached
  • Respond quickly to spills, trash buildup, or cleanliness issues
  • Ensure restrooms meet MSG sanitation and safety standards at all times
  • Report maintenance issues, supply shortages, or safety concerns to supervisors
  • Support event flow by keeping restrooms clean, stocked, and guest-ready at all times
  • Maintain a professional, customer-service focused attitude in a high-traffic environment
  • Work collaboratively with housekeeping and operations teams during all event periods
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, or customer service preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic event environment
  • Strong communication and basic customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude when interacting with guests
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based shifts
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to support a guest-focused, safety-driven environment
Requirements:
  • Able to walk and stand during for duration of shift apart from scheduled breaks.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 bs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.
Pay Range: USD $0.00 - USD $19.57 /Hr.
