Position Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented Cleanroom Assemblers to support precision electronic assembly in a cleanroom environment. This role focuses on assembling and inspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs) using microscopes and working with small, delicate components.
This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates with fine motor skills and experience in electronics, soldering, or micro-assembly. Strong attention to detail is critical due to the high-quality standards required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components under a microscope
- Perform fine-pitch soldering, wiring, and component placement
- Follow detailed work instructions, schematics, and assembly drawings
- Use hand tools such as tweezers, soldering irons, cutters, and precision measuring tools
- Inspect assemblies for defects, accuracy, and quality compliance
- Maintain production pace and meet daily output goals
- Work in a cleanroom environment with proper gowning procedures
- Identify and report defects or process issues to supervisors
- Support rework and touch-up of PCB assemblies as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of PCB, electronics, or micro-assembly experience
- Experience working under a microscope required
- Soldering experience (fine-pitch or SMT preferred)
- Ability to handle small, delicate components with precision
- Basic math and measurement skills (standard and metric)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to stand for extended periods
Preferred Experience
- Surface Mount Technology (SMT) or through-hole assembly
- IPC certification (IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001)
- Cleanroom or regulated manufacturing experience
- Experience with rework, touch-up, or inspection of PCBs
Work Environment
- Cleanroom manufacturing environment (gowning required)
- Work performed under microscopes for extended periods
- High-precision, quality-driven production setting
- Supports electronics used in commercial and government applications
