Job Title: Clerical Support
Location: Malden, MA
Pay Rate: 22.70/hr W2
Summary:
Duration: 3+Month Contract
Work Mode: Onsite
Working within the Bureau of Special Education Appeals, providing administrative support for a state agency operating under court protocols.
Responsibilities:
Assist with receiving and responding to telephone, mail, and electronic inquiries from lawyers, paralegals, and state agencies in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner.
Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels, and across all diverse and underrepresented groups.
Provide support to magistrates on Rate Setting cases.
Provide administrative support, including handling correspondence, filing, faxing, photocopying, and scanning large volumes of documents.
Process incoming and outgoing mails, sorting, stamping, and distributing mail.
Requirements:
Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and sound judgment.
Preferred Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Four years of secretarial or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Background as a legal assistant, paralegal, or court employee is preferred but not required.
