Genesis10 is currently seeking a Clerical Support Specialist - Onsite position with a Major Utility Company located in Akron, OH. This is a 24 month contract opportunity.
Compensation: $21.00 per hour, W2
Position Overview:
This role involves preparing hard-copy and electronic files for scanning and direct entry into a Filenet system. The ideal candidate will provide general clerical support, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy. Training will be provided by the corporate records team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare hard-copy files for scanning into Filenet
- Download electronic files from shared folders to enter directly into Filenet
- Provide clerical support by typing and proofreading a variety of documents
- Sort and file documents and records
- Assist in implementation of new methods, services and facilities to improve standard RM practices
- Receive records for retention
- Process electronic and physical records, in accordance with established procedures and instructions
- Perform data entry utilizing software applications (e.g., various Electronic Records Management Systems (ERMS), various Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), text retrieval system, and other desktop applications such as Microsoft Office). Type of information entered may include record management criteria, vendor code input, etc.
- Run established reports based on customer requests/needs and established schedules. Perform records pulling, refiling, shipping when necessary.
- Ensure archival and interim storage records are accurately indexed, securely maintained and dispositioned in accordance with approved procedures and instructions and approved retention schedules.
- Assist in secure destruction of records including recycling, or shredding, as applicable
- Assist in the research, retrieve, and copy records from various storage locations. This requires a good working knowledge of the various types of records and knowledge of options (various parameters) available for search and retrieval
- Ensure records are appropriately prepared for scanning
- Operate scanning and other programmatically required equipment utilizing optical character recognition (OCR) software and performing text clean-up/correction for records requiring retrieval through the electronic text retrieval programs
- Operate other records equipment including driving the records van for pickups and deliveries
- Provide accountability for work quality and personal adherence to procedures and instructions and for meeting established deadlines
- Ensure proprietary and safeguards information is released only to authorized personnel. Maintain confidentiality of information used or viewed in performance of position responsibilities.
Primary Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- SASS testing will be required for this role
