The Credentialing Clerk is an integral member of the Credentialing Team, who performs a variety of clerical functions to support departmental activities. The Credentialing Clerk must be able to pay close attention to detail and have excellent organizational skills. The position requires the ability to work well with a variety of internal and external customers. Outstanding customer service skills are essential to the position.
Maintain confidential electronic and hard-copy credentialing files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Enter applicant data (education, licensure, DEA, insurance, etc.) and conduct primary source verifications.
Communicate with institutions, agencies, and organizations to obtain and verify credentialing documentation.
Prepare applicant packets and responses for committees, managed care inquiries, and regulatory requirements.
Support departmental operations through clerical tasks, scanning/uploading files, and assisting with special projects.
Ensure compliance with departmental policies, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory standards.
