Job Title: Clerk I - (Fixed Assets Inventory) Pay Grade: SO 03
Min $25,312/Mid $31,260/Max $37,209
Reports To: Fixed Assets Warehouse and FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Custodial Services Coordinator
Dept. /School: Fixed Assets, Custodial Services
Textbooks and Records Management Department Minimum Duty Days: 226 days
Primary Purpose:
To ensure the efficient operation of the Fixed Assets Department including physical transfer
of inventories, entry of updates in database, campuses/departments scanning and
department inventory control.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED from a school rec ognized by the Texas Edu cation Agency / Texas
Private School Accreditation Commission
- Three years of work experience in warehouse , inventory processes or related areas.
- Possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License and Clear Driving record throughout
employment
- Must obtain Forklift License or Certificate within six months of employment as a condition of
employment
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and word processing
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Internet, e-mail, etc.)
- Ability to enter data into computer and maintain records of disposal of assets
- Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and administrative reports
- Ability to follow written instruction
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages
- Ability to use hand scanner
- Ability to be flexible during lunchtime.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintains confidentiality of information.
- Assists with the Online Work Flow System, Frontline software, Alio software or any software

program for department's needs.
- Assists with transport or transferring inventory from any locations within the district.
- Inputs transfers, scanned items or disposals into department's database.
- Schedules transfer of inventory within district .
- Conducts Annual Physical Scanning Inventory throughout the district.
- Safeguards fixed assets inventory against damage and theft in route and at the warehouse.
- Maintains all department equipment clean and operating.
- Uses Personal Protective Equipment to perform job duties.
- Assists with disposal of obsolete inventories either thru auction sale, recycling or landfill.
- Applies barcodes to equipment as necessary.
- Operates district vehicles in compliance with all local and state laws.
- Transports district vehicles before operating it and maintains mileage logs on vehicles used.
- Refuels vehicles as necessary.
- Ensures compliance with Employee Standards of Conduct. Works together in a cooperative
spirit to serve the best interest of the district and be courteous to students, colleagues, and
members of the public.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
- Must wear LISD issued uniform when reporting to duty and adhere to the dress code
Administrative regulation.
