Job Title: Clerk IV/Child Support #458

Reports to: Administrative Supervisor

Grade/Step: 14 (union)

Salary: $60,147

Level: Entry- (This may vary for internal candidates)

Location: 180 N LaSalle

Bureau: Administrative Services

Division/Unit: Child Support Enforcement

Working Environment: Hours: Monday Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Update and process cases as they return from court

Prepare documents to be filed electronically

Prepare the daily court call

Process incoming mail

Answer incoming calls, transfer to appropriate personnel and forward problem calls to the supervisor

Maintain confidentiality of information and systems

Interact with States Attorneys Office employees and personnel of outside agencies

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

Required:

  • The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently.

Preferred:

  • CARES and Clerks computer knowledge preferred.
  • Typing speed of 50+wpm.
