The right candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining high standards of accuracy ahead of reporting and tax deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage bookkeeping functions for a portfolio of clients spanning multiple industries, ensuring timely and accurate financial recordkeepingPerform and oversee account reconciliations including bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accountsReview and maintain the accuracy of transaction recording within accounting software platformsAnalyze and refine journal entries to ensure proper financial reportingConduct thorough reviews of periodic and year-end financial statements before distribution internally or externallyPartner cross-functionally with other departments to align financial data with broader reporting and compliance needsCoach, develop, and support a team of accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvementEvaluate existing workflows and champion process improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting qualityAct as a subject matter resource for client inquiries involving complex bookkeeping mattersQualifications5+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping capacity, with preference given to candidates from client-service or multi-account environmentsAdvanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online)Solid command of full-cycle accounting principles including reconciliations and journal entriesFamiliarity with payroll processes and how they integrate with financial reportingDemonstrated ability to review financial statements for completeness and accuracyCross-industry experience is a plusProven ability to lead and develop staff in a professional settingStrong organizational skills and a methodical approach to problem-solvingClear and effective communicator, both written and verbalCPA or equivalent credential is welcomed but not required#J-18808-Ljbffr
