DPP is seeking a Client Advocate II for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
 
Work location: Partial onsite in Columbia, SC (onsite Tues., Wed., Thurs., and as needed)
Duration: 11 months
Terms: W2 contract to hire
Work authorization: Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) US security clearance.
 
Position summary:
  • Primary responsible for supporting internal and external customer business needs
  • Acting as liaison between clients and the I/S organization, providing business direction to systems and programming areas on work efforts
  • Monitoring all I/S costs charged to clients to ensure accuracy and cost effectiveness and facilitating communications with the clients regarding costs
  • Supporting clients through production issues that may be encountered 
Required skills:
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
Nice to have:
  • Health insurance knowledge
  • TRICARE knowledge
  • Medical terminology knowledge 
Soft skills:
  • Strong communication skills to all levels of management with the ability to translate technical terminology into business English
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environment and ability to multitask
  • High sense of urgency
  • Work with minimal supervision 
Minimum required work experience:
  • 5 years of IT related experience, including experience in building client relationships, I/S marketing, and process/product improvement. 
Required education/equivalencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • OR, Associates degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 9 years without a degree) 
About the team:
  • This team of three Client Advocates works closely together to oversee other areas of Information Systems (i.e., Application Development, Project Management, Quality Management, Estimating, etc.) to ensure internal and external customer needs are understood and well documented, as well as customer deliverables being on time and within budget.
  • The team works in tandem with the customers to collect and document business needs to turn into High Level Estimates.
