Client Connectivity Technology Business Analyst- #26-23330

Position Summary:

Business Analysis role is to elaborate details (e.g. acceptance criteria) in backlog items, ensure all Jira board items are completed by documented deadlines and work with the Scrum Master to maintain and groom the Jira board & associated backlog.

The Business Analyst bridges between technology and business stakeholders because they have both a deep understanding of user needs and system functionality.

Principal Responsibilities

• Translates user and business needs into product backlog items (shared responsibility with Product Owner (PO)) to achieve “definition of ready”.

• Collaborates with PO and squad on backlog item refinement to foster a shared understanding of what the product is supposed to do.

• Work closely with Business and AD teams to leverage IT resources to help achieve all project deadlines.

• Partner with PO and stakeholders to incorporate feedback into the backlog.

• Required participant in all daily and ongoing squad calls.

• When applicable, creates documentation for stakeholders and/or provide information for others to create documentation (e.g. training materials, message specs, technical/functional design, etc.).

• Analyze the end-to-end connectivity delivery chain to identify manual handoffs, recurring bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation or workflow simplification.

• Partner with product owners, engineers, and support teams to translate delivery-chain insights into backlog items that reduce cycle time, eliminate redundant steps, and improve delivery predictability.

• Work with engineers & peers to communicate status, escalate roadblocks and work with support teams to perform as needed troubleshooting.

Experience

• 4 years of IT experience.

• Familiarity with diverse technologies and platforms.

• Familiarity with Agile techniques and tools – Scrum, Kanban, Jira, etc.

• Experience navigating ServiceNow, Power BI & JIRA.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Keen (internal) customer focus.

• Clear communicator, with good verbal and written communication skills.

• Detail oriented.

• Continuous proactivity and follow-through.

• Ability to prioritize and focus on most urgent tasks & work in a fast-paced IT environment.

• ServiceNow, SharePoint, Power BI & JIRA – experience and familiarity in multiple settings.

• Ability to decompose complex delivery workflows into discrete process steps, identify automation candidates, and recommend practical simplification opportunities.

• Proficient MS Office skills.

• Knowledge of system functionality to be able to engage in discussion with the squad.

• Not afraid to ask many questions, push back, or raise attention to risks or issues.

• A flexible, and proactive approach to track down resources to gather appropriate information.

• Innovative (to leverage variability).

• Comfortable working closely with team management to review approaches and requirements that solve the business problem.
