Client Deployment Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking an entry-level Client Deployment Technician to join our client services team in Framingham. This role configures, deploys, and ships end-user machines for Harbor IT clients, and manages the shipping and receiving of client hardware from our Framingham office. You are often the first Harbor IT contact a client's end user meets, guiding them through initial device setup and first-time login, so the work combines hands-on technical deployment with client-facing service. It is a strong entry point for a recent technical-program graduate or a self-taught PC builder who wants to break into a national MSP and grow a career in IT.

Location: Based in Framingham, MA office 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Endpoint Setup & Deployment

·       Configure and deploy end-user machines for client environments using imaging tools such as Microsoft Intune or equivalent

·       Deploy software packages through ImmyBot according to each client's configuration standards

·       Refresh and replace aging devices across client fleets

Shipping & Receiving

·       Receive client hardware orders and confirm inventory against purchase records

·       Configure and ship devices directly to client end users from the Framingham office

·       Process device returns from client end users, including secure data wipe and retirement or return to the client

Client Support

·       Provide first-line setup support to client end users

·       Guide client end users through first-time login to their workstation and business applications

·       Represent Harbor IT professionally in every client interaction

Qualifications:

Familiarity with basic IT tasks, including workstation setup and imaging.

Strong proficiency in:

·       Windows and common productivity and SaaS tools

·       Basic device setup and configuration

·       Clear written and verbal communication

·       A professional presence and comfort being the face of Harbor IT to client end users.

·       Attention to detail and reliable follow-through on device tracking, chain of custody, and shipping.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification

·       Hands-on experience with Intune, ImmyBot, or similar deployment tools

·       Background building or repairing PCs

·       Graduate of a technical program or equivalent hands-on experience

Physical Requirements:

This role involves regular shipping and receiving. You should be able to lift and move boxes of up to 50 pounds and remain on-site for the full workday.
