Position Summary:

MedInsight is seeking a Client Engineer I to support implementations and ongoing client success by delivering high-quality analytics engineering work, data validation, and technical configuration. This role is ideal for someone who is early in their analytics engineering career and wants to grow into a client-facing consultant-learning how to translate healthcare business questions into reliable data models, repeatable code, and clear recommendations.

Client Engineers at MedInsight is expected to work in an AI-accelerated delivery environment to increase speed and quality while maintaining strong engineering discipline (testing, review, documentation, and data governance).

What you'll do:


Support technical components of client implementations (data onboarding, validation, configuration, and pipeline setup).
Write and maintain SQL and python code in client codebases with guidance you're your team.
Evaluate data quality, document findings, and report on the impact.
Assist in building and maintaining dimensional models to support analytics use cases.
Participate in code review and learn MedInsight standards for maintainability, testing, and release practices.
Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate delivery (e.g., draft SQL, generate test cases, summarize findings), while ensuring outputs are verified and compliant.
Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders; contribute to client-facing documentation and status updates.

As a Client Engineer I you should have:


0-2+ years' experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, healthcare analytics, or similar.
Strong SQL fundamentals (joins, aggregations, CTEs; exposure to window functions preferred).
Familiarity with dimensional modeling concepts (facts/dimensions, grain, SCD basics).
Experience (academic or professional) with source control (Git) and collaborative development.
Interest in healthcare data (claims, eligibility, provider, clinical/encounter data).
Consulting mindset: curiosity, structured problem solving, and a commitment to clear communication.

Location

This role can be located remotely within the United States. The expected application deadline for this job is April 30, 2026.

Compensation

The overall salary range for this role is $59,200 - $109,020. For candidates residing in:


Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $68,080 - $109,020.
All other locations the salary range is $59,200 - $94,800.

A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
