Overview
The Derivatives Settlements team provides critical operational support to the Markets Trading & Sales desks within FIEQD, supporting multiple lines of business including Interest Rate Derivatives, FX STIRT, Synthetic Equity, and Capital Markets. The team also supports Corporate Trust, Seed Capital Investment Management, and Corporate Treasury.
This role is critical for ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of derivative-related cash flows, performing reconciliations, investigating exceptions, and serving as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, counterparties, and market infrastructure partners.
Key Responsibilities
Manage settlement of counterparty payments for bilateral and cleared derivatives activity using core platforms including Summit, Wall Street Systems, Treasury Edge, and Nexen.
Perform Level 2 reconciliations of interest rate derivative cash activity, as well as positions and trades related to futures business cleared through Banking as Futures Commission Merchant (FCM).
Investigate and resolve cash, trade, and position breaks in partnership with internal business teams and external counterparties.
Respond promptly to client and counterparty inquiries related to cash flow payments, settlements, and trade discrepancies.
Act as a primary contact for cleared swaps and futures related inquiries with key market infrastructure partners, including London Clearing House (LCH) and Banking Global Markets Inc.
Support operational risk reduction through strong control execution, issue identification, and timely escalation where appropriate.
Assist with system enhancements, process improvement initiatives, system testing and operational procedures.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring knowledge of derivatives operations and settlement processes, strong analytical and reconciliation skills, and the ability to manage inquiries and exceptions in a fast-paced market environment.
Experience supporting cleared and bilateral swap and futures products, along with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders and systems, is highly valued.
Candidate should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant Operations experience.

Duration: 5+ month contract opportunity
Hybrid Work Model: 4 days onsite required weekly in Pittsburgh, PA
Rate Range: $25-30/hr. W2 (based on experience)
