Client Operations Coordinator - Engineering

Position Overview

The Client Opersations Coordinator is responsible for leading executive level meetings, managing client relationships, and overseeing operational coordination between the utility, engineering teams, and external applicants/attachers. This role focuses on driving strategic discussions, resolving complex operational issues, and ensuring program objectives are met across multiple distribution and infrastructure initiatives. This position will have direct leadership responsibilities and may oversee coordinators, analysts, designers, or other support staff depending on program needs.

This position is a hybrid role (remote/office) out of our Pittsburgh, PA.

Compensation Data

Starting Rate: $30-32 per hour

Job Duties

• Lead executive and operational meetings with utility leadership, applicants, and internal teams • Manage escalated operational and client issues through resolution
• Maintain strong relationships with utility clients and external stakeholders
• Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and process improvement opportunities
• Coordinate cross functional teams to support program execution and client expectations
• Track program performance, timelines, and operational metrics
• Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to assigned staff and support teams
• Drive accountability and follow through across multiple active workstreams

Qualifications

• Strong executive communication and presentation skills
• Leadership and team management experience
• Ability to manage high level client relationships and difficult conversations
• Strong problem solving and decision making abilities
• Experience managing operational escalations and competing priorities
• Advanced organizational and project coordination skills
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, reporting, and operational tracking tools
• Experience within utility distribution design, telecommunications, infrastructure, or engineering environments preferred
• Ability to lead meetings, drive action items, and maintain accountability across teams
• Strategic mindset with the ability to stay ahead of operational challenges
