About Nelson Financial
Nelson Financial is an independent financial planning practice serving individuals, families, business owners, and employer retirement plans throughout Colorado. We are a relationship-driven firm built on trust, practical financial guidance, responsiveness, and long-term client care.
We are seeking a Client Service Operations Manager to help lead the day-to-day operational side of the practice. This is not a narrow clerical role. The right person will help create a more organized, responsive, calm, and accountable office environment while supporting both clients and internal operations.
This position combines client service, workflow coordination, account administration, team supervision, communication management, and operational follow-through. Financial services experience is helpful, but we are open to strong candidates from other professional backgrounds who are highly organized, emotionally intelligent, dependable, and eager to learn.

This role is strongly preferred to be in-office. Remote work may be considered for a highly experienced and properly licensed financial services candidate.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000–$70,000, depending on experience and fit

Schedule

What You'll Do
This person owns the operating rhythm of administrative and client-service work across the firm. Responsibilities include:
- Client service follow-up and communication
- Account paperwork and documentation tracking
- Scheduling and meeting preparation coordination
- Workflow and project follow-up
- Compliance workflow support
- Email and task triage for the firm owner
- Supervision of administrative support staff
- Procedure documentation and checklist improvement
- Vendor and custodian follow-up on service items
- Escalating issues requiring advice, compliance judgment, or owner involvement
This role currently supervises one administrative team member, with likely additional support staff as the firm grows.

- Series 7 and Series 66 licenses
- Financial services client service experience
- Prior supervisory experience
- Banking or insurance operations experience
- Office management or small business operations experience
- Background in education administration, legal administration, medical office administration, HR, or project coordination
