Be part of a compassionate, mission-driven team making a real difference in the lives of domestic violence survivors and their families.Position: Client Services CoordinatorHours: Monday-Wednesday 10:00am-6:30pm and Thursday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm - 40 hours per weekFully OnsiteReports to: Shelter AdministratorJob Summary:The Client Services Coordinator is one of the primary positions for assisting our clients. This position ensures the safety and security of shelter residents by maintaining the Emergency Shelter facilities and providing support to all shelter residents to ensure a safe, sanitary living environment. On-call responsibilities are a required aspect of this position.Job Duties:Assist and support clients with everyday shelter needs.Ensure completion of necessary/regular maintenance and cleaning to shelter buildings, vehicles and/or equipment.Coordinate with outside vendors as required.Maintain the cleanliness of secured areas within the shelter including ensuring rooms are ready for new clients.Maintain food and household supplies; place orders and deliveries as neededSort and store donations, groceries, and household items. Maintain and submit record logs as required.Ensure daily chores are completed by each adult resident as assigned.Provide shelter orientation, house tours, welcome boxes, and graduation gifts to residents.Coordinate and assign resident laundry schedule.Implement and maintain a calm, conflict-free residence.Ensure compliance of Emergency Shelter policies and procedures.Occasionally provide transportation for residents as needed.Assist with other departments as needed.On call as scheduled.Other duties as assigned.Additional Responsibilities:Preserve confidentiality of all client, staff, volunteer & agency information.Represent the agency in a positive, professional manner at all times.Maintain appropriate boundaries with every interaction.Maintain a tidy, organized workspace.Participate in agency functions as a participant/presenter as required.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in human services or related field or equivalent experience preferred.Household maintenance experience preferred.Crisis intervention and/or services for domestic violence survivors preferred.40-hour DVAT (Domestic Violence Training) as required by law - can be completed upon hiring.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Bilingual Spanish preferred.Strong organizational skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Basic computer skills.Works well independently and with others.Ability to communicate policies and procedures to others in a calm, professional manner.Strong role model to empower clients.Familiarization of de-escalation tactics.CPR & First Aid - can be completed upon hiring.Job Qualifications:Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and appropriate insurance.Fingerprint scan; drug and TB Test.Employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or fee, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
