Our Client Settlement Division is looking to add a Settlement Specialist to our Jersey City team.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Certify receipts for deposit to Depository Trust & Clearing Corp (DTCC) or foreign depositories/custodians (i.e., Euroclear, Canaccord, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Citicorp)
Facilitate the timely and accurate processing of all Mutual Fund trades, corrections, cancellation, rebills, and transfers of accounts
Assist in handling incoming and outgoing physical certificates for deposit, Vault control, re-registration in Wedbush Street name and break down for delivery needs
Cross-train across all departmental functions and achieve full proficiency in each role and area of responsibility
Contact brokers and resolve settlement problems
Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Experience and Skills
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
2+ years of settlement experience required
Hands-on experience with DTCC settlement functions, Refinitiv BETA and FIS P3 system experience required
Familiarity with 144 Legend Removal (SEC Non-Registered Securities)
Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in a constantly changing, deadline-driven environment
Ability to prioritize competing priorities while working effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to swings in workload volume and changes in assignments
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with and expert knowledge of the depositories/custodians listed above is a plus
Experience with SunGard Phase 3 and BETA are a plus
