About the role
The Client Support Administrator will provide onsite information technology systems administration and asset management support at Nellis Air Force Base in support of the 99th Civil Engineer Squadron. This position supports both unclassified and classified network environments and plays a critical role in maintaining operational continuity, system availability, and IT asset accountability.
The selected candidate will function as a systems administrator and IT asset manager, ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable IT services for end users. This role requires a proactive professional who can operate independently, maintain high service standards, and meet strict performance thresholds in a mission-driven environment.
What you'll do
- Provide systems administration support for NIPR and SIPR environments
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripheral devices
- Maintain system availability and performance in accordance with mission requirements
- Apply security updates and ensure compliance with DoD and Air Force cybersecurity standards
- Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and network access
- Track, label, inventory, and manage IT assets in compliance with Air Force accountability policies
- Process equipment lifecycle actions including receipt, transfer, and decommissioning
- Maintain TACLANE devices and support SIPR enclave operations as required
- Submit and track trouble tickets using designated Air Force ticketing systems
- Support SharePoint administration and assist units with collaboration site needs
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting on system status, ticket metrics, and inventory
- Attend meetings requiring IT representation and provide technical expertise
- Maintain high customer service standards and meet established response and resolution timelines
This role requires maintaining compliance with all applicable DoD 8140 certification requirements and sustaining eligibility for access to classified environments.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- CompTIA Security+ (Required)
- IAT Level II compliant per DoD 8140
- Minimum 3 years IT systems administration experience
- Experience supporting NIPR/SIPR environments
- Experience with desktop/laptop imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Experience managing IT asset inventory and accountability
- Experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing systems
- Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday
Preferred:
• Prior experience supporting U.S. Air Force environments
• Experience supporting SIPR enclaves or classified network environments
• Familiarity with TACLANE devices
• Experience administering or supporting SharePoint sites
