Our team has an opening for an individual who is passionate about supporting our clients in taking urgent climate action through a wide range of projects including climate mitigation and resilience/adaptation planning, data collection/analysis, and stakeholder engagement. This position offers an opportunity to use your excellent quantitative analysis, planning, and communication skills to support interesting projects with a meaningful impact. This hybrid working position can be based in either our Minneapolis or Duluth, MN office.

Essential Responsibilities

Work with LHB’s Climate Solutions Studio on planning and research projects to improve the built environment. Tasks may include:

  • Greenhouse gas inventories
  • Data collection
  • Quantitative analysis
  • Visual communications of data and results
  • Climate action and resilience/adaptation plan development
  • Facilitation of community/stakeholder engagement
  • Written communications and presentations
  • Business development for climate solutions and planning projects
  • Technical guidance for team members

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, climate, energy, and/or land use planning
  • 1 year of experience in related field
  • Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Salary Range

  • This position’s anticipated base salary range is $57,000- $71,000 annually. (This position is eligible for year-end bonuses and for overtime pay at a rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given workweek.) Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
