    Description

    Overview

    This position serves as the clinical and operational lead for bed management initiatives within the Care Command Center. Works collaboratively with nursing leadership, charge nurses, physicians, transfer center staff, patient placement teams, and hospital operations leaders to ensure patients receive the right care, at the right place, at the right time.

    Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of centralized bed management processes. Supports operational decision-making through data analysis, workflow development, stakeholder engagement, and performance improvement initiatives designed to improve access, capacity, and patient flow.

    Responsibilities

    The incumbent in this position is responsible for supporting patient placement, capacity management, throughput optimization, and bed assignment processes across the health system.

    Travel to all UF Health Hospitals is required on an as-needed basis

    Qualifications

    Education: Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required. Consideration will be given to those currently enrolled in formal education to obtain MSN.

    Experience: Minimum 5 years progressive leadership experience in hospital operations, patient throughput, transfer center operations, or system capacity management

    License/Certification/Registration: Current RN license in State of Florida. Professional nursing board certification required. Other Qualifications: Demonstrates excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to influence staff's knowledge and application of evidence-based practice.
