Overview

The Clinic Administrator provides administrative leadership, operational oversight, and healthcare management support for the Ascension Island medical clinic under the V2X program. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating clinic administrative operations, supporting medical readiness requirements, ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance, and maintaining continuity of healthcare services within a remote and austere environment.

The Clinic Administrator supports implementation and oversight of the Medical Care Plan, healthcare administrative functions, operational reporting, personnel compliance tracking, medical logistics coordination, and quality assurance activities in support of the Ascension Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF) mission requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee daily clinic administrative operations, including staffing coordination, patient administration, scheduling, facility support, and workflow management.
  • Support implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the AAAF Medical Care Plan in coordination with V2X leadership and medical personnel.
  • Coordinate clinic operations with internal departments, government representatives, Det 2 CC leadership, and external medical partners as required.
  • Support operational continuity and emergency healthcare readiness within a remote island environment with limited medical capabilities.
  • Maintain administrative oversight of clinic records, reports, personnel compliance documentation, and operational metrics.
  • Assist with tracking provider licenses, certifications, training requirements, and credentialing documentation to ensure 100% compliance with contract requirements.
  • Support coordination of medical staffing coverage requirements to ensure operational and after-hours medical support capability.
  • Coordinate administrative support for MEDEVAC activities, off-island referrals, and patient transfer requirements.
  • Assist with medical logistics coordination, supply chain tracking, equipment maintenance coordination, and calibration support activities.
  • Support self-inspection programs, audit preparation, corrective action tracking, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate administrative support for laboratory accreditation activities, inspections, and operational compliance requirements as applicable.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, mass casualty response coordination, and contingency planning efforts.
  • Maintain accountability of government-furnished and company-owned property utilized within clinic operations.
  • Provide operational guidance and administrative support to clinic personnel and leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare administration or clinic management experience.
  • Experience supporting healthcare operations in remote, overseas, military, or austere environments preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting government healthcare contracts or operational medicine environments preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and healthcare administrative management skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinic administration, regulatory compliance, and medical support services.
  • Familiarity with medical readiness programs, credentialing processes, and quality assurance activities.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary operational and healthcare support functions.
  • Knowledge of healthcare accreditation standards, inspection readiness, and corrective action processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to function independently in remote or austere operational environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare administrative systems.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to work in office, clinic, and operational healthcare environments.
  • Capability to function effectively in remote or austere island conditions.
  • Ability to support emergency response operations and operational contingencies as required.
  • May require extended work hours based on mission or operational requirements.

Additional Requirements

  • Must meet all medical, security, credentialing, and deployment requirements per contract and V2X policy.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required access credentials and base access authorization.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Ability to comply with all Ascension Island operational, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Must maintain professional conduct and operational readiness standards required for overseas contingency operations.
