Overview:

The Clinic Coordinator plays a vital role within our clinical staff, serving as the primary liaison between patients and our podiatric, medical, and social services. This position supports clinic operations and may vary in scope based on the needs of our clinical practice and direction from Clinical Administration and the DPM.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet, direct, and refer patients to the appropriate clinic area to ensure patient flow
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, conduct interviews patients, record vital signs including weight, blood pressure, pulse, & temperature
  • Document all current medications and visit information accurately in the patient's chart
  • Perform patient callbacks and appointment verification
  • Coordinate and schedule patient transportation as needed, including arranging rides and distributing OMNY cards to eligible patients, while maintaining accurate records
  • Schedule appointments and make referral to other clinics as directed by clinicians
  • Verify authenticity of patients' third-party healthcare payers
  • Collect copayments and outstanding balances
  • Initiate, processes, and review encounter forms to ensure all required information is complete
  • Enter billing information from encounter forms into the billing system
  • Obtain appropriate authorization and patient signatures
  • Perform additional administrative tasks or coverage as needed
  • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, and maintain instruments and sterilization procedures as required
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, and city regulatory policies & procedures
Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant certification from an accredited program preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience in a medical office or public-facing healthcare setting preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Experience with ECW (E-ClinicalWorks) preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong oral and phone communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Maximum Salary: USD $38,818.00/Yr. Minimum Salary: USD $32,266.00/Yr.
