Assist dentists during treatment by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining the sterile field. Perform dental X-rays and assist with study casts and temporary restorations. Sterilize instruments and follow infection-control and safety protocols. Provide oral hygiene and post-operative instructions to patients. Assist with dental and medical emergencies; maintain CPR/BLS readiness and emergency supplies. Document dental services accurately and maintain patient confidentiality. Maintain required certifications, including GA Dental Assistant license/certification, X-ray license, CPR/BLS, Nitrous Oxide, and Coronal Polishing. Minimum Qualifications Current, valid, and unrestricted GA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position. Minimum 1 year Dental Assistant experience Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or required X-ray training. CPR card. Nitrous oxide certification; Coronal polishing certification. Possession of a valid X-ray license is required. Active BLS Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
