Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and dental materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists during treatment by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining the sterile field.
• Perform dental X-rays and assist with study casts and temporary restorations.
• Sterilize instruments and follow infection-control and safety protocols.
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative instructions to patients.
• Assist with dental and medical emergencies; maintain CPR/BLS readiness and emergency supplies.
• Document dental services accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Maintain required certifications, including GA Dental Assistant license/certification, X-ray license, CPR/BLS, Nitrous Oxide, and Coronal Polishing.

Minimum Qualifications 

• 
  Current, valid, and unrestricted GA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
  
• 
  Minimum 1 year Dental Assistant experience 
  
• 
  Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or required X-ray training.
  
• 
  CPR card.
  
• 
  Nitrous oxide certification; Coronal polishing certification.
  
• 
  Possession of a valid X-ray license is required.
  
• 
  Active BLS
  
• 
  Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
  
• 
  Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
