Dental Assistant (Expanded Function) Duties & Responsibilities:

• 
  Place and finish dental restorations(fillings) after the dentist prepares the tooth. -
  
• 
  Take accurate impressions for temporary crowns, bridges, and diagnostic models. 
  
• 
  Fabricate and place temporary crowns and bridges. -
  
• 
  Perform coronal polishing and fluoride treatments. -
  
• 
  Apply sealants and desensitizing agents as directed. -
  
• 
  Assist the dentist during procedures, including restorative, prosthodontic, and endodontic treatments. Take and process radiographs. 
  
• 
  Maintain proper infection control and sterilization standards. 
  
• 
  Provide clear post-treatment instructions to patients. 
  
• 
  Charts treatment notes accurately and assists with updating patient records. 
  
• 
  Monitor inventory and prepare trays for procedures. 
  
• 
  Support front office team with patient flow and case coordination when needed. 
  

Minimum Qualifications 

• 
  Current, valid, and unrestricted MD license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
  
• 
  Minimum of one (1) year of Dental Assisting experience required.
  
• 
  Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
  
• 
  Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.(Expanded Function Dental Assistant (CODA),X-Ray Certification, CPR Certification)
