Dental Assistant (Pediatric) –Bradenton, FL.

Local Pay: $22.00/hour

Dental Assistant (Pediatric) Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for pediatric dental procedures. 

  • Educate children and parents in oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. 

  • Take and process dental radiographs as directed. 

  • Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments. 

  • Assist dentists chairside during dental treatments and ensure patient comfort. 

  • Maintain dental supply inventory and ensure instruments are properly sterilized. 

  • Adhere to infection control protocols, OSHA compliance, and safety standards. 

  • Provide reassurance and comfort to pediatric patients before, during and after treatment.  

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Current, valid, and unrestricted FL license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program

  • -One (1) year of hands-on experience as a Pediatric Dental Assistant.

  • Ability to build trust and rapport with children and their families.

  • Proficiency in routine clinical tasks such as taking x-rays, setting up/breaking down rooms, and passing instruments.

  • Experience as an Orthodontics Assistant

  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.

Required Certifications & Licensure: CPR is required. -Expanded Function Dental Assistant (CODA or FL Board Approved). -X-Ray certification. -Sealant (North Miami) -Coronal Polishing (Miami). 

Preferred Certifications & Licensure: Nitrous Oxide certification.
