Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control.
Assist the endodontist during root canal and related procedures, including suction, irrigation, and passing instruments.
Take and process dental radiographs/CBCT scans, review patient histories, and document treatment notes accurately.
Educate and support patients before, during and after procedures, including clear post- op instructions.
Coordinate with the front office on scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communication with patients and referring to dentists.
Manage supplies and equipment, including inventory ordering and upkeep of endodontic materials. Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and safety regulations while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Dental Assistant Certification.
Experience as an Endodontics Assistant.
Familiarity with dental software and charting systems.
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
Minimum one (1) year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.
X-ray certification
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
