POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Operations Officer, the Clinic Director II will provide mission-focused, strategic and process minded leadership and oversite of all nonclinical functions of the Gleicher/Chen Health Center and Gleicher/Chen Health Center Annex clinics and leadership of the clinical staff. As a member of the Senior Management team, the Clinic Director II will have direct involvement with organizational strategy development and implementation and be primarily responsible for providing administrative oversight of the day-to-day operations of the facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
Training and Experience:
Master's Degree and two years' experience in operational management in a clinic or hospital; or a Bachelor's Degree and five years' experience in operational management in a clinic or hospital; or an Associate's Degree and 10 years' experience in operational management in a clinic or hospital. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Ryan White CARE Act clinic experience a plus. Previous supervisory experience required. Passion for working with underserved communities and people living with HIV/AIDS required.
Knowledge of:
Clinic operations, patient billing, budgeting and financial reporting, government and private grant management, public health issues and concerns required.
Ability to:
Effectively supervise and motivate assigned staff and volunteers; manage multiple aspects of varied clinical and support programs; monitor and evaluate clinic and support activities; communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and organizations.
Work in a dynamic, rapidly changing and fast-growing environment. Write grant proposals and/or assist with writing grant proposals. Maintain strict patient confidentiality.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is primarily an office position that requires only occasional bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and moving of office materials weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires daily use of a personal computer and requires entering, viewing, and revising text and graphics on the computer terminal and on paper.
WORK LOCATION FLEXIBILITY:
APLA Health is a multi-site organization committed to meeting the needs of our patients, clients and communities. Although an employee may be hired specifically to work at one or more designated APLA Health sites, they may be required, on a temporary or emergency basis, to perform work at any APLA Health location based on operational, business, or patient care needs. Reasonable notice will be provided whenever practicable; however, an employee is expected to maintain the flexibility to report to alternate work locations as assigned.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid California driver's license; proof of auto liability insurance; and have the use of a personal vehicle for work related purposes. COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster or Medical/ Religious Exemption required.
