Assists in making clinical decisions based on scientific principals, systematic approach and experience.
Assists in identifying actual and potential risk to patients and/or families and assists in initiating appropriate action to minimize risk.
Administers medications and treatments/procedures as directed, and as appropriate for the patient’s medical care, in collaboration with the multi disciplinary team.

Initiates appropriate patient/family education following assessment of learning and discharge needs.
Documents nursing intervention and patient/family response accurately, legibly, and in compliance with clinic policies.
Appropriately delegates tasks/procedures to other team members who are prepared/qualified to perform.

Demonstrates the skill level requirement for a Registered Nurse as evidenced by competent performance and completion of the skills checklist.

Uses effective communication principles to coordinate care with other health care providers.
Actively participates in clinic meetings, committees, conferences, and in-services.

Education/Certification Requirements:
Must be a registered nurse maintaining current state licensure.
Basic Life Support Certification (BCLS) is required unless doctor’s release is provided.
Experience Requirements (mandatory and preferred):
One to two years nursing experience preferred.
Is able to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team.
Maintains a high level of professionalism, which positively promotes the image of Crawford County Memorial Hospital.
