POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinic Resource Nurse is a licensed professional who provides comprehensive care and education to patients of the Cardiology Clinic in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. The Clinic Resource Nurse collaborates with the patient, family, physician, interdisciplinary team and payor to plan, organize, coordinate and monitor the provision of quality, efficacious healthcare services and resources to promote optimal clinical, financial and satisfaction outcomes. Primary role of this position is to serve as RN supervising exercise tests, stress echocardiography, pharmacological stress echocardiography and stress radionuclide cardiac imaging. The education, training, and support of the Resource Nurse are designed to help patients safely complete diagnostic testing to assess their cardiac health and potential need for further testing and intervention. In addition, the Resource Nurse will educate patients on their cardiac condition and strategies to manage their disease to produce an optimal outcome and quality of life.

Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, and good communication skills. Must be able to interact professionally and effectively communicate with physicians, staff, patients and family and the public. Must show sensitivity for the hospitalized patient and family. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. This position will require someone able to oversee RN treadmill stress tests and appropriate drug administration. This position will also require the completion of training on the Supervision of Exercise Testing as listed which includes participation in at least 25 procedures during training or previous experience with exercise test supervision. If not, this training will be provided once hired.
