    Position Summary

    RN Clinical and Simulation Instructors will assist in nursing labs, simulations, and clinical settings as needed. Lab and simulation sessions occur on campus, while clinical experiences take place in healthcare facilities across South-Eastern Idaho. This position may also include providing guidance to students, grading coursework, and assisting with various department tasks. This position is on a semester-by-semester basis.

    This position is an interest list for future clinical and simulation opportunities. Applications will be reviewed by the department periodically, and all candidates will be notified by email if they are chosen to interview for a position.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

    • Significant clinical experience is required

    • A strong commitment to excellence in teaching and nursing practice

    Conditions of Employment

    Upon Hire:

    • Current RN licensure

    • MMR (vaccination dates (2) or positive titers)

    • Hepatitis B (vaccination dates (3) and a Hep B titer; if Hep B titer is negative and a booster was received, then a repeat of 2 more Hep B vaccinations according to the appropriate timeline will be required and considered "in progress")

    • Varicella/Chicken pox (vaccination dates (2) or positive titer)

    • COVID full vaccination requirement (vaccination date(s))

    • Drug/Alcohol test (cost is borne by the Nursing Department)

    • Verification of a negative QuantiFERON Gold Tb (a negative chest x-ray will be required if TB is positive)

    • Current copy of your American Heart Association Basic Life Support, BLS Provider card

    • Tdap (within the last 10 years)

    • Background check (cost is borne by the Nursing Department)

    Annually:

    • Flu vaccine

    • Annual verification of a negative QuantiFERON Gold Tb (a negative chest x-ray will be required if TB is positive)

    • Nursing Department Fall Faculty Training (Friday before every Fall semester starts)

    • Annual evaluation with Department Chair (During every Fall semester)

    Upon Expiration:

    • Current RN licensure

    • Current copy of your American Heart Association Basic Life Support, BLS Provider card

    • Tdap (within the last 10 years)

    • Background check (cost is borne by the Nursing Department)

    Work Schedule

    Assigned each semester by the Department Chair according to department needs.

    Pay Rate

    Dependent on education.
