The Developmental Medicine Center is an outpatient clinic located at BCH at 2 Brookline Place. We care for patients with a wide range of neurodevelopmental diagnoses. From infancy through adolescence, children receive an age-appropriate, comprehensive developmental evaluation and ongoing follow up care. Our clinicians are a multidisciplinary group of developmental behavioral pediatricians, APRNs, and Psychologists. Patients are seen for motor, language, or social delays as well as learning, attention or behavioral concerns. Programs within the center include the Autism Spectrum Center, Down Syndrome Program, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Program.
Key responsibilities :- Obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure.
- Performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit.
- Answering and directing patient messages and maintaining environment of care including ordering and stocking. Transporting supplies and equipment as needed.
- Collaborating with team including Child Life and/or Behavioral Response Team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Minimum qualifications:
Education:A HS Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:1 year of Clinical Assistant/Nursing experience preferred.
Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other neurodevelopmental conditions preferred.
