    Job Title: Clinic Coordinator (LPN, CMA, RMA, or CPT)Position Full-time - 40 hours per week / 10 hour shiftsWage Type: Non-ExemptReports To: CEO 
    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:This is a full time position in a health care facility open 7:00am until 5:00pm, Monday through Friday except for holidays recognized by the Hemophilia Outreach Center. Shifts are 10-hours, 4 days/week with Tuesdays off. Some additional hours are possible on an as needed basis depending on schedule of events, operational demand, and/or patient demand.   Position Purpose: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Clinical Assistant (LPN, CMA, RMA, or CPT) provides compassionate patient care and support while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services. This role is responsible for performing patient care activities and related clinical duties that promote patient comfort, safety, and well-being. The Clinical Assistant maintains the highest standards of professionalism, quality of care, and patient service while ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times. Education:
    • Required: High school diploma or equivalent 
    • One of the following required:  
      • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), 
      • or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification awarded by the American Medical Technologists (RMA), 
      • or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), 
      • or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license awarded by the State of Wisconsin 
    Experience:
    • 2 years minimum experience in an outpatient clinic required
    • Proficiency in standard office procedures, administrative best practices, and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel is required. 
    • Experience with the EPIC electronic health records system is required. 
    • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. 
    Expectations: Should demonstrate the ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively, be highly organized, self-motivated, and resourceful with strong attention to detail. Candidates must communicate with patients in a warm, professional manner both in person and over the phone, and collaborate effectively as a contributing member of a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates must be committed to maintaining strict patient confidentiality in full compliance with HIPAA regulations. Flexibility to support various community events throughout the year is appreciated.
    Responsibilities/Duties:
    • Provide compassionate patient care and support under the direction of a Registered Nurse and licensed providers.
    • Assist with patient intake, rooming, vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
    • Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; accurately identify, label, and prepare specimens; and assist with patient care before, during, and after collection procedures.
    • Support patient comfort, safety, mobility, transfers, and personal care needs during clinic visits and treatments, including assisting with activities of daily living and providing comfort measures such as blankets, beverages, and restroom assistance.
    • Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, supplies, and treatment areas.
    • Maintain accurate patient records through data entry, chart preparation, and patient file creation/updates.
    • Assist with medical record requests, scheduling changes, and other administrative tasks to support efficient clinic operations.
    • Assist with patient outreach, mailings, organizational events, community programs, and special projects; actively participate in clinic events and educational programs.
    • Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to promote exceptional patient experiences, high-quality care, and efficient clinic operations.
    • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety activities, staff meetings, and required training.
    • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
