Department Summary:
A new multidisciplinary services space opening June 2026 on Fegan 3 in the main hospital. The clinic will support various surgical and medical multidisciplinary clinics i.e. CAIR, EAT, VAC, spina bifida, CDH, liver transplant.
Key responsibilities:- Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).
- Working with interdisciplinary team including other clinical assistants, physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, child life specialist and administrative staff
- Assisting clinicians during invasive and noninvasive procedures.
- Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
- Maintaining, cleaning and ordering department specific equipment.
- Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
- Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
- Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse, advanced practice provider and or physician.
- Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
- Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
- Working Monday-Friday, 5-8 hour shifts (8a-430p)..
Minimum qualifications:
Education:- A HS Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:- 1 year of Clinical Assistant/Nursing experience.
- Medical Assistant experience strongly preferred.
- Procedural experience preferred.
