Department Summary: Clinical Assistant for our Outpatient Psychiatry Department.
Key responsibilities:
Assisting clinician during examinations; obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, weights, heights and lengths.
Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
Facilitating patient flow through the clinic.
Performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic, including supply inventory, and stocking/organizing exam rooms.
Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
Collecting, verifying and recording required information, obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
Working Monday – Friday day shifts, varying start and end times between 8am-7pm.
Minimum qualifications: Education:
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1 year CA experience, CNA Certification, or one round of clinical rotations preferred
Pediatric experience preferred.
