    Job Description

    The Communications Sciences and Disorders Department seeking candidates for a full-time (9-month) non-tenure-track appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor effective January 2027.

    The Communications Sciences and Disorders Department is housed within the College of Health and Human Services and offers undergraduate programs in Communication Sciences & Disorders. The Department also offers graduate programs in Speech Language Pathology. Please see the website for more information on our programs: http://www.wku.edu/communicationdisorders/.

    The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion as well as departmental and institutional needs. Expectations will be weighed differently depending on the strengths of the candidate and the needs of the department.

    • Clinical supervision of undergraduate and graduate students
    • Undergraduate student advising as needed
    • Instruction at the undergraduate level
    • Possible instruction of elective graduate courses in an area of expertise
    • Service to the department, college, university, and/or profession

    All successful candidates must have the ability to engage in alternative modes of instructional delivery which may include synchronous online (distance learning) courses, and/or IVS. Instruction modality is based on assigned teaching duties.

    Job Requirements:

    • Master''s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech and Language Pathology
    • Holds or is eligible for KY licensure in area of clinical certification
    • At least three years of post-masters experience
    • At least two years of clinical supervisory experience
    • Strong communication skills
    • Evidence of knowledge of technology required for assigned duties.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work well with all levels of faculty, staff, and students
