Musculoskeletal Institute (MSKI) - Mallard Creek is an outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinic delivering comprehensive injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return‑to‑activity services. The Mallard Creek site supports patients across the continuum of care, from post‑operative recovery and injury rehabilitation to functional movement and performance training. Athletic Trainers work collaboratively with orthopedic providers and rehab specialists to deliver evidence‑based care focused on restoring function, safety, and confidence in an active, patient‑centered setting.

This position will support a clinic setting, alongside an Advanced Practice Provider and Surgeon. When necessary, he/she refers individuals to the appropriate specialist or General Practitioner. The Athletic Trainer provides patient education regarding injury prevention, anatomy, body mechanics, and rehabilitation. The primary mission of the Athletic Trainer is to progress athletes through rehabilitation protocols and return them functionally to a state comparable to pre-injury. Additional responsibilities include: Responsible for rooming patients, checking in basket, DME, injections, assisting front desk and scheduling authorization teammate as needed, medication refills and authorizations, ordering clinic medications for buy and bill.

The qualified candidate will possess the following:

A. Education

  1. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required

  2. Completion of an accredited curriculum established by the National Association of Athletic Trainers (NATA) Board of Certification required

B. Experience

  1. Knowledge of the Athletic Training profession as normally acquired through academic experience, clinical affiliations, and/or previous work experience in the field

C. Licensure/Certification

  1. Licensed as an Athletic Trainer NATA Board of Certification/applicable state Athletic Trainers Associations
