Clinical Coordinator

Under the supervision, of Director of Inpatient Services, coordinates and provides nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. The Clinical Coordinator is the first point of contact for all physicians requesting bed placement for their patients. The Clinical Coordinator facilities patient through-put for all units at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center (CVRMC).The Clinical Coordinator supports senior leadership by assisting in the improvement, maintenance, and delivery of patient care processes. The Clinical Coordinator will assume delegated responsibility from the Director in Inpatient Services for the implementation of daily operations.The Clinical Coordinator adheres to the principals, philosophy, and mission of CVRMC in all aspects of job performance and attitude.QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or currently enrolled in a BSN program.1+ year experience in Critical Care Unit with high acuity, surgical or trauma.Current Arizona Registered Nurse Licensure or eligible.Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS.Must be able to interact effectively with co-workers, patients/family, physicians, and other hospital personnel.Must be effective communication skills.Must be able to work independently as well as within a team.Must have computer skills. Must be able to perform effectively under physical and mental stress. Promotes positive patient/customer relations.Serves as a role model for staff by demonstrating clinical expertise when providing direct patient care.Practices according to approved policies, procedures, protocols and practice guidelines.Supports a work environment that is conducive to recruitment and retention of staff.Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with the health care team.Able to develop management skills consistent with position and responsibilities."Can Do" positive attitude.
