CLINICAL COUNSELOR REGISTERED INTERN
Grow as a clinician. Change lives along the way.
Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS)
You’ve put in the work to prepare for a career in behavioral health. Now it’s time to turn your training into meaningful impact.
At Children’s Home Society of Florida, our Clinical Counselor Registered Interns do more than gain clinical experience—they help children and families navigate challenges, discover their strengths and move toward healthier futures.
In this role, you’ll provide behavioral health assessments, counseling and therapeutic support while continuing to develop your clinical skills under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
If you’re working toward licensure and looking for a place where you can grow professionally while doing work that truly matters, your next chapter could start at CHS.
YOUR WORK CAN BE PART OF SOMEONE’S BRIDGE TO SUCCESS
Every child and family has a different story.
Some may be navigating trauma. Others may be experiencing behavioral health challenges, family conflict, major life transitions or circumstances that make moving forward feel difficult.
That’s where you come in.
As a Clinical Counselor Registered Intern, you’ll meet individuals and families where they are, help identify their needs and goals, and provide evidence-based therapeutic services designed to promote recovery, resilience and overall well-being.
Your work can help a child feel heard.
Help a parent discover a new way forward.
Help a family build the skills they need to become stronger together.
And while you’re helping them grow, CHS gives you an opportunity to grow as a clinician, too.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Depending on your assigned CHS program, your responsibilities may include:
Provide Meaningful Clinical Support

You’ll gain experience supporting children and families while working within a mission-driven organization that has served Florida communities for generations.
This can be more than your next job.
It can be an important step toward the clinician you’re becoming.
