Job Summary:
The Clinical Counselor delivers direct short-term clinical counseling services to a diverse population of faculty and staff. This role focuses on conducting assessments, delivering solution-focused therapy, and connecting clients with appropriate community-based resources for ongoing care when needed.
The Clinical Counselor is responsible for making independent decisions regarding clinical assessment, treatment planning, and management of caseload and recommendations for employee return to work within the Program guidelines.
In addition to direct client care, the Clinical Counselor participates in employee outreach activities, including orientation sessions, educational presentations, and wellness initiatives across the health system.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm CST

Preferred Skills & Experience
Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Master or Clinical Social Worker ( LPC, LMSW, LCSW)
Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and intervention skills.
Experience supporting individuals with a broad range of behavioral health concerns
Experience providing counseling services within a healthcare, hospital, academic medical center, or other clinical setting.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse populations and professional groups.
Demonstrated ability to support clients in achieving personal growth, resilience, and positive behavioral change.
3-5 years post-licensure as Clinical Counselor, Therapist or Behavioral Health Professional
Experience delivering short-term, solution-focused, and brief intervention therapy models.
Proficiency with clinical documentation systems
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience developing and facilitating workshops, trainings, and presentations on a variety of mental health and wellness topics.
Ability to identify, coordinate, and refer clients to appropriate community-based providers and support resources.
Experience working independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
