We are an incredible group of clinicians dedicated to providing patient & family centered evidence-based medical nutrition therapy. Our clinical RDs are highly integrated within the multidisciplinary team on the inpatient units and outpatient clinics at Children's Hospital Colorado. The Clinical Dietitian Associate develops the skills to provide comprehensive, safe, and ethical medical nutrition therapy to patients, families, and other clients in inpatient or outpatient settings. This role is supporting our Pediatric Mental Health Institute and Eating Disorder Program, with coverage including inpatient acute care and nutrition clinic. Qualifications EDUCATION - Bachelor's Degree LICENSURES -Registered Dietitians (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN) adhering to the Commission of Dietetic Registration guidelines. Responsibilities POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE Neonate - 30 days to 1yr Toddlers - >1yr to 3yrs Pre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrs School age - >5yrs to 13yrs Adolescent - >13yrs to 18yrs Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. Provides nutrition therapy for patients with a variety of diagnosis, in an inpatient or outpatient setting as needed. Incorporates principles of culture-competence and family-centered care into clinical services. Completes written documentation of medical nutrition therapy provided in accordance with department standards for format, content, and time frames. Completes nutrition focused physical exam by evaluating body systems, mid-upper arm circumference, tri eps skinfold, muscle, and subcutaneous fat wasting, feeding ability, oral health, skin condition, appetite and affect if applicable for patient care.
