Sodexo is hiring a registered dietitian for a full time inpatient role at New York-Presbyterian Queens, a premier healthcare institution located in the heart of Queens, NY. NYP-Queens is a 535-bed academic medical center and a Level 1 Trauma Center, renowned for its commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and cutting-edge medical innovation.

What You'll Do

  • provide exceptional nutrition care to patients in med/surg units;  
  • be well versed in the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification;
  • work every 5th weekend and rotating holidays providing hospital-wide coverage;
  • be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process; and
  • efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
