Job Summary
The Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is seeking a pediatric Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide medical nutrition therapy for pediatric patients seen at our clinic located in North Philadelphia.
Skills & Abilities
Ability to work with various members of multidisciplinary teams as well as with other employees throughout the organization. Strong knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy principles (pediatric experience required). Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to patients and families, medical staff and physicians. Ability to function independently on assigned patient care units. Ability to counsel and educate others. Understands the scientific rationale, basic nutritional content and application of commercial oral supplements, tube feedings, infant formulas, intravenous feedings and feeding modules (carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals). General knowledge of Word Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, EMR.

Training & Education
• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Registered Dietitian (RD) credentialed from the Committee on Dietetic Registration (CDR), Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania (LDN) within 120 days. • Two years related paid clinical experience required as a Clinical Registered Dietitian with pediatric experience strongly preferred. • Board certification (CSP, CNSC, CDE) required within 12 months of hire. All credentials, PDP and licensure must be maintained.
