Description Provides optimal nutrition care for inpatients utilizing the Nutrition Care Process in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The Nutrition Care Process includes:

• Nutritional assessment • Nutrition diagnosis • Nutrition intervention • Nutrition monitoring and evaluation

Incumbent also plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates nutrition education, individualized to the patient/client needs, precepts dietetics, and other health professional students independently. Orders diets, supplements, and tube feedings as approved by Medical Staff Office at each facility.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or higher in dietetics or a related field • Effective July 1, 2019, all newly Registered Dietitians or dietitians newly practicing in Indiana must have an active Indiana license. • All current Registered Dietitians must maintain Indiana certification until next renewal period. • Effective January 1, 2021, all dietitians must have an active Indiana license. • Registration Eligible hires are required to obtain their RD and LD within 6 months of hire date.
