Responsibilities

  • Provides appropriate patient nutritional care.
  • Assesses the nutritional status of patients, formulates a care plan, coordinates its implementation, and evaluates its impact and effectiveness.
  • Provides nutrition education to patients/families.
  • Approves supplements as appropriate and assists in the development of a hospital formulary appropriate to the patient population.

Qualifications

  • Education and Work Experience: Registered Dietitian Required (CMS requirement). One year healthcare experience desirable.
