Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Dietitian to provide nutrition services to pediatric and adolescent patients.

The Clinical Dietitian will assess nutritional needs, develop individualized nutrition care plans, provide medical nutrition therapy, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health professionals, and other healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments.

• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.

• Provide medical nutrition therapy based on medical, developmental, and behavioral health needs.

• Monitor dietary intake, nutritional status, and patient progress.

• Develop and modify therapeutic diets and meal plans.

• Interpret and follow physician orders related to special diets and nutritional care.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and healthcare staff.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, recommendations, and follow-up care.

• Participate in menu planning, food-service coordination, and quality-improvement activities.

• Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare and dietary standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.

• Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Dietitian in Missouri.

• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, as applicable.

• Clinical experience in a hospital, behavioral health, pediatric, adolescent, or institutional setting preferred.

• Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, therapeutic diets, nutritional assessment, and food-service systems.

• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
