Established northern New Jersey autism-services organization focused on helping individuals with autism build greater independence, stronger relationships, and more meaningful connections to their communities.

Its Adult Services Program supports adults across day and community-based settings, with individualized programming focused on employment, volunteering, functional life skills, recreation, social development, and long-term quality of life. This is not programming built around keeping people occupied. The goal is to create lives with purpose, choice, and genuine community participation.

This is not one of those “director” positions where the title sounds impressive but the authority stops at approving calendars. You will help shape the clinical direction, operational structure, community partnerships, and long-term development of the adult program.

Job Details

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Provide clinical and operational leadership for adult day and community-support services
• Review treatment plans, behavior-support plans, clinical programming, participant outcomes, and quality-improvement initiatives
• Supervise and develop Clinical Supervisors, Direct Support Professionals, and other clinical staff
• Maintain compliance with New Jersey DDD requirements while leading audits, regulatory reviews, and corrective-action planning
• Expand employment, volunteer, recreational, educational, and community-participation opportunities for program participants
• Partner with participants, families, caregivers, executive leadership, and community organizations to strengthen services and long-term outcomes

SKILLS YOU NEED
• Required: Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
• Preferred: Current BCBA certification; candidates actively pursuing certification and able to complete it within one year will also be considered
• Required: At least five years of leadership experience supporting individuals with autism, along with extensive Applied Behavior Analysis experience
