Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Director of Nursing, you are recognized as a clinical leader, ensuring high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the clinical departments and in the forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. You will foster a culture of accountability and collaboration and support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.

What you will do in this role:

  • Leads implementation of evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and quality outcomes, ensuring adherence to clinical standards, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drives standardization and efficiency in clinical practice, patient throughput, and care coordination to optimize outcomes, reduce variation, and manage costs.
  • Monitors internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and regulatory standards, ensuring continuous compliance and pursuit of excellence.
  • Champions a culture of service excellence by leveraging feedback, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring consistent, positive patient interactions.
  • Fosters a high performing, engaged workforce through coaching, recognition, and development strategies, ensuring clinical competence and role alignment.
  • Collaborate with leadership to expand services, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies that drive differentiation and volume.
  • Participates in budgeting, monitors financial performance, and implements cost-saving measures while ensuring appropriate staffing and resource utilization.
  • Promotes communication and collaboration across departments to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care and optimal staff deployment.

What Qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, required.
  • Master's Degree, preferred
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
  • 3+ years applicable experience in leadership, required
  • 5+ years applicable clinical experience, required
  • Experience in OR or PACU, preferred

Lone Peak Surgery Center is located in Draper, Utah. We serve the residents of Salt Lake County. Our AAAHC accredited center is one of the newest in the area. We perform over 300 cases a month. Services in dental, ENT, gastro-intestinal, colonoscopy, gynecology, interstim, orthopedic, lap bands, minimally invasive spine, plastics, podiatry, sports/spine, urology and weight loss balloon procedures.
