Summary:

This is a part-time, 0.6 FTE night shift House Clinical Education Resource Nurse CERN position with the option to share 1 shift per week in an Acute Care or Critical Care unit as a clinical RN at Parkview or Parkview Pueblo West for a total of 0.9 FTE Full Time.

Responsibilities:

• Makes rounds, meeting with clinical nurses on orientation or recently off orientation, providing education and clinical support to help ensure provision of safe care and ease the transition from advanced beginner to competent clinical nurse. • Collaborates with unit educators and preceptors to assess the learning needs of clinical nurses. • Participates in the delivery of new clinical staff orientation. • Delivers learning activities related to clinical competencies, departmental, organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies. • Serves as a mentor to new clinical staff and participates in evaluating clinical performance of new clinical staff in collaboration with unit leadership.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Nursing • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) • 2 years of nursing experience • Preferred: Charge Nurse experience • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date • BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
