SUMMARY:
Is responsible for the oversight of the clinical rotation activities of Tift Regional and its affiliates including the placement and coordination of students for rotations, serving as a liaison between physicians, leaders, and other hospital staff and the schools sending students. bridging educational needs with clinical performance for all staff and utilizing the e-learning technology with workforce development activities for the hospital, students and community outreach programs; Interfacing effectively with all departments to develop and implement workforce technology, and coordinating and facilitating the use of technology for training of current and future employees; Acts as liaison for all learning experiences including clinical rotations, internships, extended shadow experiences, and school tours; Is responsible for overseeing all data tracking of learning experiences including the coordination of data entry; serves to foster relationships between students and the system for recruitment of future employees, as well as foster the development and retention of new graduate employees; provides customer service to patients, families, visitors, physicians, coworkers, and other personnel
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining contracts with all universities, colleges, and schools for all clinical learning experiences
- Processes all extended learning experiences for clinical and non-clinical participants; Processing includes: verification and tracking of immunizations, vaccines, online orientation assignment and tracking, background checks, drug and alcohol screenings, and current CPR certifications when applicable
- Schedules/Coordinates all clinical rotations for various institutions as well as individual students acquiring degrees such as RN, LPN, BSN, MSN, PharmD, Respiratory Therapy, Ultrasound, PT, PTA, OT, Speech Therapy, Scrub Techs, Dieticians, and CV Techs and others as applicable; includes monthly observation schedules for High School Work Based Learning Students requiring weekly review of evaluations with an end of semester summary sent to the high school coordinato
- Coordinates Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) Program
- Assists in coordinating the New Nurse Graduate Transition Program.
- Coordinates all high school tours for area schools which requires conducting and attaining HIPAA verification orientation and parental permission forms
- Acts as liaison for all learning experiences including clinical rotations, internships, and extended shadow experiences. Liaison duties include: in-person orientation for high schools and colleges; speaking to various nursing classes about opportunities and requirements in order to come to TRHS; constant contact with all instructors in order to trouble-shoot any issues
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Offers suggestions on ways to improve operations of department and reduce costs.
- Keeps abreast of pertinent federal, and state regulations and laws and Tift Regional Health System, Inc. ("TRHS") policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Understands and adheres to: TRHS' compliance standards as they appear in TRHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy; and HIPAA and TRHS policies regarding privacy and security of protected health information.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform tasks that meet the age-specific requirements of the persons, patients, vendors, and staff that the employee is charged to interact with as required by the position.

- Volunteers/participates on hospital committees, functions, and department projects.
- Manages resources effectively.
- Reports equipment in need of repair in order to extend life of equipment and removes malfunctioning equipment out of service with timely reporting to the appropriate personnel.
- Makes good use of time so as to not create needless overtime.
- Attends 80% of staff meetings and huddles to provide ongoing education and assist in issue resolution. .
EDUCATION:
- Associate degree with two year's applicable experience working with schools and students.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of one-year experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of contracts and experience in scheduling clinical rotations preferred.
