An exciting opportunity awaits you in the healthcare industry as a Consulting Clinical Engineering Equipment Cleaning Technician I. This is a unique position that combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of the healthcare environment to ensure the safety and effectiveness of medical equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and tracking clinical engineering equipment, with a focus on Alaris infusion pumps. This role requires a meticulous and detail-oriented professional who can work independently and reliably after training.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the thorough cleaning and disinfection of Alaris infusion pumps and other clinical engineering equipment to ensure they are safe and ready for use.
2. Accurately track the movement and status of all equipment under your care, using appropriate documentation systems.
3. Inspect all equipment for damage or contamination before and after cleaning. Any concerns should be escalated promptly to the appropriate team.
4. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when handling medical equipment, ensuring the safety of yourself and others.
5. Provide consultation and advice on the proper cleaning and maintenance of clinical engineering equipment, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the healthcare facility.
6. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the smooth operation of the clinical engineering department.
7. Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated with the latest cleaning techniques and equipment technologies.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital or equipment cleaning, preferably in a clinical engineering department.
2. Proven experience in the safe handling of Alaris infusion pumps is required.
3. Demonstrated ability to accurately track and document equipment status and movements.
4. Strong ability to identify equipment damage or contamination and escalate concerns appropriately.
5. Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently after training.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide consultation and advice on equipment cleaning and maintenance.
7. A strong commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of safety protocols and guidelines in a healthcare setting.
8. Willingness to participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.
9. A degree in a relevant field such as biomedical engineering or healthcare technology management is preferred.
